Don't play with your health
To mark World Cancer Day held on 4 February, the Ministry of Health is working with the Cancer Foundation to launch a new information and awareness campaign, encouraging all of us to learn about cancer and act to instil good daily habits.
The 2019 campaign is sponsored by former professional tennis player Mr Gilles Müller and focuses on prevention. Alongside early screening, prevention plays a key role in fighting cancer. Forty percent of cancers could be avoided by living more healthily: not smoking, moderating alcohol consumption and opting for healthy foods and regular exercise.
