Legionella infections
12/2022 - Recommendations on the prevention of Legionella contamination in hot-water systems (Pdf, 293 Kb).
Legionella is a genus of bacteria that can be found in minute concentrations in drinking and industrial water systems. Legionella bacteria can multiply very quick in stagnant water at high temperatures. When they occur in high concentrations, they can be dangerous and cause Legionella-induced pneumonia, which can be very serious, and even fatal. The Health Inspection Department issues recommendations on preventing Legionella contamination in drinking-water systems.
